Antonella leads PI's work on migration and contributes to policy development on border surveillance and social media intelligence, working with partner organisations around the world.
Before joining PI, she was Communications Manager at CILD, the Italian Coalition for Civil Liberties and Rights, where she also led the Civil Liberties In the Digital Age program. In the past, she also served as Europe Editor at Personal Democracy Media, covering the intersection of technology and politics, worked on access to information, and as a consultant for enterprises, political organisations and the public administration. Antonella holds a M.A. in Media and Communication Studies from Alma Mater Studiorum - University of Bologna, Italy. She was also a Research Fellow at Vassar College, USA.
