UK's Met Police aim facial recognition at pro-Palestinian protesters

At recent rallies, London's Metropolitan police have ramped up use of facial recognition technology to scan pro-Israeli and pro-Palestinian protesters, claiming that some of the signs, banners, and chants heard at these protests stray into religious or racial offences. Following the protests held the second weekend in January 2024, the police launched about 30 investigations.
