Demonstrated at Miami-Dade school, Texas company's drones aim to stop school shootings in seconds
A company in Texas is using drones in schools to try and prevent shootings and assist law enforcement response. Campus Guardian Angel claims its drones can be in the air and firing powder pellets at suspects within 60 seconds.
Florida governor Ron DeSantis has approved $557,000 to fund pilot projects in three school districts, decided by the Florida Department of Education. It will cost approximately $1,000 per month for a school of 500 students, or roughly $4 per student, according to Campus Guardian Angel.
Installations are reportedly taking place in four school districts and one university in Texas.
