Authorities in Grozny are planning to modernize school security infrastructure by upgrading existing surveillance cameras with facial recognition technology and connecting 60 schools to a single online education monitoring platform. The initiative is intended to automate staff attendance tracking and reduce the need for traditional student roll calls. The system may also be integrated with a digital diary platform, allowing parents to receive notifications when their children arrive at or leave school.

At present, school cameras are primarily used to monitor entrances, hallways, and school grounds for safety purposes. Officials say the planned upgrade will strengthen child protection measures while improving oversight and transparency within educational institutions through more comprehensive monitoring and automated record-keeping.
