A petition to ban proctoring software used at Western University hits 4,000 signatures
A student at Western University has started a petition asking for controversial proctoring software - Proctortrack - to be banned.
The software is voluntary for professors, with only some choosing to use it. The software claims to prevent cheating in exams by monitoring students via their webcams using Facial Recognition, knuckle scans, and other methods.
The petition raced to over 4,000 signatures in just 4 days.
