University of Guadalajara prep school introduce facial recognition

The director of the Preparatory 9 high school has announced via Facebook that the school are about to turn on a new facial recognition entry system. This is despite - seemingly - not updating their pre-existing privacy notice, which governed the previous fingerprint system for access to campus. 

When asked - the Jalisco data protection office said they did not know about the new system, and if it didn't have a data protection impact assessment they would ask that it be suspended.
