Hiperderecho is a non-profit Peruvian organisation dedicated to facilitating public understanding and promoting respect for rights and freedoms in digital environments. It seeks to spread the liberating capacity of technology to develop or enhance digital spaces so that all Peruvians can exercise their rights and strengthen their citizenship.

Privacy International is part of a 60+ coalition calling on Facebook and Google to provide equal and better transparency regarding political advertising on their platforms globally.

Case Study

The Peruvian Government has repeatedly collaborated with the private sector in developing technology. In many cases who has access to the data is unclear, and - although Peru has a legal framework for public-private partnerships - it does not use it for technology.
